Touted as the ultimate all-mountain skis when they first took the stage. The slim 68mm waist doesn't really lend itself to big powder skiing, but the X Screams are great on the groomed runs, in the trees, on ice, and through crud. They are lightweight (especially so for the era they were born in) and beyond easy to turn. They're so responsive; in fact, they seem to be reading your mind.
Unfortunately, because they are no longer being manufactured, the Salomon X Scream skis are rather hard to come by. They're definitely worth a run or two (or several) on the mountain.
