The only thing more important than our staff is our guests. The Kitchen Manager is an individual that has a passion about food and success. Being guest focused with the capability of being a positive motivated leader. One that can execute the Turtle Jack's standards of quality in food preparation. Responsibilities include food, labour and kitchen related costs. This position plays a key role in development and attention to Health and Safety practices. Core duties: Oversee and run the day-to-day operations of a Turtle Jack's restaurant. Partnering, with the General Manager supporting area business and objectives. Labour cost controls, food cost controls and budgets. Purchasing and inventory controls. Ensure compliance of all standards and procedures relating to HACCP and provincial workplace safety standards. Ability to Coach and train staff demonstrating strong leadership skills. Supporting ongoing development of all team members. Drive systems and standards of kitchen operations by role modeling and spot-checking. Accountable for supporting standards of cleanliness, timing, uniform, grooming, organization, production, food quality and consistency. Monitors daily prep production of food Ensures high level of cleanliness and repair of kitchen by supervising kitchen cleaning schedules and overseeing equipment maintenance. Job Requirements: . Food handler's certificate. . 2 years of kitchen management experience. . Hands on attitude (as cooking is required). . Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills.
