ORIGINAL, CANADIAN NAIVE / PEOPLE ART OIL PAINTING on Canvas Board by DIETRICH HANS W. WERNER (1948-1996), with Allen Gallery, Toronto, Ontario label on verso, SIGNED, c1983, Gold Wooden Framework with Bed linen matting: 14 1/4" x 12"; Sight Picture: 6 3/4" x 4 3/4". Birthed in Germany, he transferred to Canada in 1972, & took up home in Toronto. Greatly self instructed, influenced by Canadians, Alberto De Castro, & Cecil Young Fox, in addition to European Gullible painters, he created his very own particular niche with his vibrant colours. The Allen Gallery, still in existence today, mounted a number of Mr. Werner's jobs. Among his services was made use of by Air Canada for a Xmas card in 1983. This paint uses a similar scene on the Air Canada Xmas card. * An additional, "Playing Together" was on the UNICEF Christmas card for 1987. * Bonus: A Replicate of the Air Canada Christmas card is offered to the purchaser.
