This portfolio of six prints was offered as a mail-order promotion by Maclean-Hunter Publishing in Canada in 1957. It consists of reproductions of bird paintings by Fenwick Lansdowne that were featured in Macleans magazine. The birds depicted include Cooper's hawk, Green-winged teal, California quail, Western meadowlark, Macgillivray's warbler, Red-winged blackbird, Bullock's oriole, Belted kingfisher, and Mourning dove.

James Fenwick Lansdowne, OC OBC was a self-taught Canadian wildlife artist. Lansdowne was born in Hong Kong and grew up in Victoria, British Columbia. His first show was at the Royal Ontario Museum in 1956. He died in 2008.
